Marathon Graduation Day

On Monday, both kids had graduation ceremonies from preschool. It was a long day for all of us, but very rewarding to see this wonderful year come to a close. Both the kids have grown so much and we have been blessed with some wonderful preschool teachers. The day started with Theo's ceremony, then a class picnic, then Ella's ceremony followed by a class picnic for her.

This is Theo getting ready for the ceremony. All the kids made these adorable butterfly wings and hats to wear.

He was looking very suspicious sitting up on the stage, I think he wasn't sure what was coming next.

Each kid came up and told everyone what their favorite part of school was (his was either blocks or outside play) and what they wanted to be when they grew up. From Theo's class the answers included: race car driver, firefighter (3 of these, including Theo!), Dora, a vet. a garbage truck driver and Wolverine.

Afterwards Ella and Theo posed for a picture.

And we got one of the whole family.

Then we went to park to play and have a picnic. We don't have too many pictures of this since we were all busy eating, socializing and playing. It was a nice way to end the year with his class.

Then we were on to Ella's graduation! Since this was her last year of preschool and she is headed to Kindergarten next year, my mom came to celebrate with us. Ella was thrilled.

It was a good thing too, because by now it was about an hour into Theo's nap time and he was tired. Nana was a good distraction and she's always good for a cuddle.

Ella was pretty excited about graduating and wearing her own wings and crown.

This is what Theo looks like when he doesn't get a nap. All things considered, he did VERY well.

Our little graduate! She really liked this lovely cap and gown.

The whole family once again! We didn't get any pictures at Ella's picnic for the same reason as Theo's - too busy eating and playing. Now it's on to summer, camps, parks, laying around, playing in the pool in the backyard, camping and hanging out with family. This mama is ready for a break from the routine!

  1. Simply wonderful pictures! Such fun! Next time there's something special like that let us know and we'd love to come up and be a part of it all. I'm going to see if Rand can print up a few of these--the family ones are great! Now, let the summer games begin! :) <3 We love you.
